Good tool to add to the mix!

This seems like a good tool to add to the tackle box. I don’t claim to know a lot about fishing. In fact, I am just now getting back into it and attempting to show my kids. One thing I know is that they sure as heck do not want to touch the fish when trying to remove the hook. I came across this tool and it honestly seems like it will go a long way in helping us remove hooks without hurting the fish. It seems pretty sturdy overall and I expect it to fit around the fish easily. It’s made of metal and should hold up without issue. I have a, what I consider a regular size, tackle box that it fits in so I can always have it with me. My only issue is the handle itself. I wish it was made out of rubber and had some type of extra padding. I imagine it might hurt my hand a little when clamping down on a fish. I will try and provide a better update once I am able to use it properly. So far, though, it seems well made and should get the job done.

I felt a little wimpy buying this but I've been jabbed so many times by either panfish or catfish.
I'm getting older and don't have as good of a grip as I used to so these do come in handy.
Relatively lightweight.
Works well at holding the fish securely while you pop the hook out.
Not for everybody but it works for me.
Might not want to let your buddies see you use it... Or maybe you do and they'll get one too.

Rejuvenated every time I use it

This grabber works well for removing the hook from panfish. While I usually just grab the fish, kids and even some adults seem to have a great fear of grabbing a fish. This is a great tool for them. We caught 10-12 coppernose bluegill to test the grabber and it helped get the hook out of all of them, even a couple of challenging ones that partially swallowed the hook. It probably saved one of the fish that had the hook way down.

Note: This is not very big... Big enough for bluegill, bream, crappie, redear, etc., but not big enough for any decent size catfish or bass. So, it's dedicated for panfishing in my opinion
